We like to think of digital marketing as a journey. And like all journeys, you won’t get very far unless you bring someone along who knows the way. That’s where we come in. Our founders, Matt and Al, go way back – all the way back to 2003, in fact. Fast forward eight years to a mutual friend’s wedding, where talk eventually turned to the pair’s favourite topic: the rise of digital marketing. Both knew from their years at the coalface in web development that this was an industry on the cusp of becoming something huge: eventually, every business in Australia would need a digital marketing strategy to stay competitive. They also knew an approach which valued integrity, partnerships and results ahead of making a fast buck was the key to building a business that would stay the course. One beer led to another, and quicker than you could say “I do”, a gentlemen’s agreement was struck. The next day, armed with just $1000 in cash and a company registration form, a very different kind of marriage was made. It wasn’t long before we made our first hire in Sam Wood, and two became three. We’ve come a long way since then. From humble beginnings working from Matt’s bedroom in a Brisbane share house, we’ve evolved into a high-performing, multidisciplinary team. We’ve opened offices in Brisbane and Sydney – the latter driven by Sam, who quickly worked his way up through the ranks to become GM. And we’ve cultivated a client list that includes some of Australia’s best-known and most forward-thinking businesses. But we didn’t get here by accident.
